Birthday Pictures

Here she is, my birthday girl.

And here are the girls from preschool! They are an adorable bunch of little ladies.

They laughed..a lot! It was so much fun to see them act like girlfriends gabbing around the table :)

Every party needs a craft so Caroline and I decided that we would make "Haunted Houses" at her party. The girls loved it, but I think that they ate more candy than they managed to put on their houses. (Yes, I apologized to their mothers for sending them home on sugar highs!)

Caroline got so many nice gifts from her friends! The best part was that she was excited about everything and said "thank you" after opening each gift. It's the little things that make me proud :)

This picture makes me laugh. While not the best of the birthday girl, Addison just had to sneak in there!!!
I hope all your wishes come true my dear. Happy bithday, I love you.

Field of Dreams

On Thursday Caroline and I tool a field trip to the Field of Dreams with her preschool class. The kids played some games, took a hayride and were able to pick a pumpkin.

Yes, I know that she is the only girl without a costume on...let me explain. It was 27 degrees outside when we started. I was a "mean mother" and told her that she had to wear a coat so she stomped her feet and decided that if she had to wear a coat then she was NOT going to wear the costume. Fine with me. (I secretly had her costume in the trunk of the car so that she could wear it back at school for the Halloween party. See, I'm not really that mean.)

Our Trip to PA

The kids and I escaped for the week to go and see my beautiful new niece...meet Miss Hadley. Isn't she the cutest thing you ever did see???

Connor fell in love instantly.

Mom, Pam and I decided that we would take the kids to the park to burn off some steam and get a good dose of the beautiful Pennsylvania air. Here they are trying to skip stones :)

I know that Mom will have a fit over this picture, but I think it's adorable.

While visiting we were able to celebrate my Grandmother's 91st birthday and Caroline's 5th birthday with lots of extended family~some that I haven't seen in 15 years!

Here is one of my favorite pictures, none of us look good AT ALL but we had so much fun talking, laughing and picking up as if it were only days since we'd been together! I was so happy that they all agreed to this "cousins picture!"

Thanks again Mom and Dad for a wonderful visit. We miss you so much already.

Another Love Note

A Post for Papa...

Well Papa, this one is for you! Caroline and I were making meatballs and gravy today and had a wonderful conversation all about you :)

Seeing as she looks every inch of her German heritage I'm determined to make sure that she can at least cook like an Italian!

While Caroline was whipping up dinner I asked her how she knew her Papa loved her and do you know what she said? "Because he kisses me and tickles me with his moustache!" I also asked her what she thought was the best thing about her Papa...."he LOVES cookies!" Gotcha!

Just another Thursday night

Well, we are crafting...again. I was hoping to save this project for tomorrow but once Caroline gets her craft materials she just can't wait. I am getting tired of constantly buying canvas for the kids to paint on so I took Caroline on a little trip to ReStore to purchase some tiles. For 10 cents a tile she can paint her little heart out. By the way Nana, I think these are for you~lucky girl :)

I also picked up 2 tiles and figured I would try a little Halloween project. (Oops, the broom is still a bit wet!)

Connor informed me last night that there are WAY more pictures of Caroline on here, so here you go Buddy, these are just for you.

The Sweetest Thing...

The sweetest thing I'll ever see when single parenting for the week!

Get Lost!

And that's just what we did at the corn maze yesterday! This is the maze and we found our way out in just 24 minutes..pretty impressive!

All the kids had a great time; here's Caroline on the cow train!

Even Connor got on the train....

Caroline and Meghan on the slide. I think they must have gone down this 100 times!

And this is what Connor did over and over again. The best part was watching Dad and Mr. Joe try and race him around the track, too bad I didn't get a picture of that!

All the girls in the corn box. They had this in a teepee~how cool!

On the hayride.

They even had pig races (a first for us).

We had a wonderful day, thank you Joe and Amy for letting us tag along!

North Park

My friend Amy and I took the kids to spend the day at North Park last Wednesday. Here are a few cute pictures that I snapped :)
