To get this sad, neglected little blog updated :( The past two months have been insane. Chris and I put our home on the market and ten days later it sold. Lots of emotions....thrilled to know that we would once again be a family of four, but sad to leave some very good friends. I was also sad that Connor would have to leave school mid year but thankfully the thought of being with his Grandma and his friend William again lifted his spirits and he was excited to move back home to Michigan.
Goodbye Tierra Drive, we will miss you....
Hello Twin City Trail!
Chris and I are really excited about our new home. It just felt like home the minute I walked thru the doors. We are closing in a few days, but won't be able to move in until the end of June~can't wait!
The kids and I have been having such fun times visitng with "old" friends! We went to the Bounce House the other day with Karen, Lucas and Sarah. I lost track of how many times Caroline went down the slide :)
Connor and Lucas going for a spin...
The girls!
The hardest part of our move is being away from our little Montana family. We miss you every day! Connor and Caroline are keeping a running list of fun things to do in Michigan with the Lierow kids :) Come visit soon!
My boy is turning 10 tomorrow. Double digits is a big deal so we wanted to do something fun to celebrate. Dave and Busters! We had a fantastic time and Caroline kept telling me "This is totally awesome!"
Dad had to help out on this one because petunia couldn't reach the pedals. I love the expression on her face in this picture~pure happiness! (She came in dead last. I have to say that I'm a little worried about her "driving skills." I think I'll nominate Chris when it comes to drivers ed.)
A little story about my Connor. He was the big winner at Dave and Busters with over 1,000 tickets. Caroline did pretty well and ended up with 519 tickets. As we were shopping for prizes he graciously shared some of his tickets with his sister so that she would be able to get a few more things. It warmed my heart to see his sweet side and he was just grinning from ear to ear knowing that he made his sister so happy. All in all it was a VERY good day.
We had a little family party tonight. I asked my beautiful niece Ali to make the cake....can you even believe this? And, I am happy to say that it tasted just as good as it looks!
Connor got some pretty awesome gifts! A bean bag game from Holly, Steve and Jack Brooks. I think that Chris and I may have been just as excited about this as Connor! (I'm already planning our first party with our old neighbors. Jarts and Beanbag Toss plus a few margaritas should be a really good time.)
New video games from us to go along with the new 3 DS grandma brought :)
Happy Birthday to you...happy birthday to you...happy birthday dear Connor....happy birthday to you! Hoping all your wishes come true. I love you more than you'll ever know.
