Memorial Day Weekend

We had a beautiful and fun-filled Memorial Day Weekend :)  Grandpa opened up the boat!  I'm not sure who is more excited?

We took the kids (and William) to Metro Beach yesterday so they could play up at the splash park.

Connor made me a present.....are these earrings just lovely? Grandma and Caroline each got a pair too....Best Grandma and Best Sister.  Can't you just feel the love?

Today was Connor's 4th grade wax museum.  Here he is as Henry Ford :)  He did a fantastic job memorizing and delivering his speech! I asked him how many people cane to listen to his presentation he told he "Well, I don't really know..I never really counted...."  I didn't count either but there was always someone standing and listening whenever I looked over.  There was also a very giggly group of girls at one point and one girl was giving the other girl "the elbow" the whole time he was talking--ha! (Everyone loves a guy in a suit.  Especially a suit two sizes too big accessorized with Grandpa's tie!!)

Grandma came too!  Here she is listening to Connor's speech.

And here is my sassy girl.  I took her to the eye Dr. today and it looks like she'll be getting some glasses soon. So far, she seems totally unfazed by the idea but we'll see....

Yesterday Connor and I spent the afternoon at Urgent Care.  While at school my buddy dislocated his thumb :(

Here is a better picture of what his thumb looked like.  Swollen and stuck at at 90 degree angle.

Not so happy with the hours of waiting.

Much happier after the Dr. popped his thumb back into place.  The nurses gave him a copy of his x-rays to take to school which added to all the excitement. He needs to wear the brace for two weeks, it will come off just in time for field day--whew!

Some pictures from the past few weeks :)

Easter Sunday...Super excited that the Easter Bunny found us at Grandma and Grandpa's house!

A picture of my pretty girl.

Mother's Day.  Chris bought me a fancy new camera :)

Chris, Caroline and I decided to take a trip to the zoo. Connor stayed behind to help plant flowers for Grandma.  Here we are looking at the Rhinos.

At the fountain.

This is just a little picture I took at lunch the other day.  Hard to tell they're related right??

A few pictures from yesterday.  Chris, Caroline and I went to visit with our friends the Mathy's and the girls dyed Easter eggs.  (Connor was spending the day with William)

Caroline and Mia

Doing a good job!

Ta-Da!  You can't really see from the picture but these are Sparkle Eggs...the girls thought that these were the most beautiful eggs ever! Good thing that Grandpa likes hard boiled eggs :)

I'm trying...

To get this sad, neglected little blog updated :(  The past two months have been insane.  Chris and I put our home on the market and ten days later it sold.  Lots of emotions....thrilled to know that we would once again be a family of four, but sad to leave some very good friends.  I was also sad that Connor would have to leave school mid year but thankfully the thought of being with his Grandma and his friend William again lifted his spirits and he was excited to move back home to Michigan.

Goodbye Tierra Drive, we will miss you....

Hello Twin City Trail!

Chris and I are really excited about our new home.  It just felt like home the minute I walked thru the doors.  We are closing in a few days, but won't be able to move in until the end of June~can't wait!

The kids and I have been having such fun times visitng with "old" friends! We went to the Bounce House the other day with Karen, Lucas and Sarah.  I lost track of how many times Caroline went down the slide :)

Connor and Lucas going for a spin...

The girls!

The hardest part of our move is being away from our little Montana family.  We miss you every day!  Connor and Caroline are keeping a running list of fun things to do in Michigan with the Lierow kids :)  Come visit soon!

My boy is turning 10 tomorrow.  Double digits is a big deal so we wanted to do something fun to celebrate. Dave and Busters!  We had a fantastic time and Caroline kept telling me "This is totally awesome!"

Dad had to help out on this one because petunia couldn't reach the pedals.  I love the expression on her face in this picture~pure happiness!  (She came in dead last.  I have to say that I'm a little worried about her "driving skills."  I think I'll nominate Chris when it comes to drivers ed.)

A little story about my Connor.  He was the big winner at Dave and Busters with over 1,000 tickets.  Caroline did pretty well and ended up with 519 tickets. As we were shopping for prizes he graciously shared some of his tickets with his sister so that she would be able to get a few more things.  It warmed my heart to see his sweet side and he was just grinning from ear to ear knowing that he made his sister so happy.  All in all it was a VERY good day.

We had a little family party tonight.  I asked my beautiful niece Ali to make the cake....can you even believe this?  And, I am happy to say that it tasted just as good as it looks!

Connor got some pretty awesome gifts!  A bean bag game from Holly, Steve and Jack Brooks. I think that Chris and I may have been just as excited about this as Connor!  (I'm already planning our first party with our old neighbors.  Jarts and Beanbag Toss plus a few margaritas should  be a really good time.)

New video games from us to go along with the new 3 DS grandma brought :)

Happy Birthday to you...happy birthday to you...happy birthday dear Connor....happy birthday to you!  Hoping all your wishes come true.  I love you more than you'll ever know.
